Güney Yıldız

Güney Yıldız is a journalist with the BBC News in London and an analyst focusing on Turkey, Syria and the Kurds across the Middle East. He has reported from Turkey and the Middle East talking to top political and religious leaders, state officials, armed militants and ordinary people. Most recently he was invited by the UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee to give an expert opinion on the fight against ISIS. He is currently a Journalism Fellow with the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) in Vienna. He holds a BSc from Middle East Technical University in Ankara and a Master’s degree from London School of Economics, and he will start his postgraduate degree in Sociology at Cambridge University this year.
